Warren Buffett Calls Kevin Walsh's Fed Chair Appointment a 'Good Choice' on July 15

According to a CNBC interview on July 15, Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, called Kevin Walsh's appointment as Federal Reserve chair a "good choice." Buffett said he believes Walsh will do his best to maintain 2% inflation and achieve maximum employment as mandated. However, when asked about Walsh's ability to execute the Fed's new policy direction recently announced to Congress, Buffett noted that Walsh "won't be able to do it perfectly," comparing it to his own experience managing others' money. Buffett added that Walsh thinks about the nation's interests, though he acknowledged that Fed decisions are sometimes extremely difficult.
