Waton Financial has launched MoTA Alpha, an AI-native investment platform introducing an open marketplace where third-party developers can create and deploy specialized AI trading agents. The platform enables professional investors and portfolio managers to assemble teams of AI agents performing research, analysis, risk management and execution, with all investment decisions subject to mandatory human approval before execution.
The Agent Talents Market ecosystem allows developers to retain control over each agent's underlying logic while Waton provides infrastructure and marketplace access. The platform includes an enhanced orchestration layer that improves communication between agents and creates detailed audit trails of recommendations and decisions. According to Chairman and Chief Technology Officer Tony Zhou, "We are not building a chatbot for trading. We are building a platform where professional investors manage teams of AI agents, each with defined roles, clear accountability, and human oversight." MoTA currently supports Hong Kong and U.S. equities, with digital assets planned for future release. Public beta testing is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
