Webull Malaysia Launches OpenAPI for Retail AI Trading, Supporting U.S. Stocks and ETFs

Webull Malaysia has launched an OpenAPI allowing retail investors to use artificial intelligence tools to trade directly through their brokerage accounts, making the platform one of the first Southeast Asian retail brokers to offer AI-assisted trading to everyday investors rather than only professionals.

The Trading API enables investors to place, modify and cancel orders while viewing account balances and portfolio positions. The Market Data API provides real-time access to U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds. Webull designed the platform to work with AI assistants that translate natural-language prompts into trading actions, eliminating the need for manual navigation or coding. CEO Kenneth Chan stated, "The ability to trade with support from AI shouldn't be reserved for those who can write code." The service currently supports U.S.-listed equities and ETFs, with additional asset classes expected to follow. Webull operates across 16 global markets and serves more than 27 million registered users.
