WeChat Pay Tests AI Payment Feature With AI-Dedicated Card for Agent Transactions

According to Beating, WeChat Pay is testing an AI payment feature in collaboration with WorkBuddy, enabling autonomous agent transactions with user confirmation through an AI-dedicated card account.

The AI-dedicated card, housed within WeChat's wallet, allows users to transfer funds in or out, with spending limits tied to the card balance. Users must explicitly authorize and bind a specific agent to the card. Before any agent-initiated payment, users must confirm the transaction. Once an agent generates an order, it sends a confirmation link to the user, who then verifies the amount and enters a password to complete the payment.
