According to Wedbush's industry report released Thursday (July 10), Nvidia's Vera CPU outperforms traditional x86 server processors from Intel and AMD in both computing performance and energy efficiency. The chip features 88 Olympus cores and 176 execution threads, with significantly greater memory bandwidth than legacy x86 CPUs. Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson noted that Vera marks Nvidia's entry into the general-purpose server CPU market, potentially breaking x86's long-standing monopoly and establishing a complete compute infrastructure beyond GPU acceleration.
