Whale Liquidated 6 Times for $4.9M After Adding 500 ETH, Largest On-Chain Liquidation Today

Gate News message, April 28 — A whale holding 4,500 ETH in long positions was hit with six consecutive liquidations totaling approximately $4.9 million yesterday (April 27), becoming the largest on-chain liquidation address today, according to Hyperinsight data.

The liquidations spanned three assets: 1,620 ETH (approximately $3.67 million liquidated, $6.62 million remaining, liquidation price $2,250); 10.8 BTC (approximately $830,000 liquidated, $1.48 million remaining, liquidation price $70,020); and 990,000 HYPE tokens (approximately $410,000 liquidated, $1.46 million remaining, liquidation price $37.45). The address currently holds approximately $9.55 million in remaining long positions across the three assets.

The whale opened a 25x leveraged ETH long position last Monday and had been rolling the position continuously for a week. Yesterday morning, it added another 500 ETH to the position. However, the address encountered two rounds of market downturns overnight and early this morning, resulting in cumulative losses of approximately $610,000 across the three long positions.
