According to Axios and senior U.S. officials, on May 18, the White House rejected Iran’s latest nuclear proposal submitted through Pakistan on May 17 evening, stating it contained only symbolic adjustments with no substantive improvements and insufficient concessions on Iran’s nuclear program.
A senior U.S. official stated that negotiations are in “extremely grave” conditions. If Iran refuses to shift its stance, the United States will be forced to “continue this negotiation through bombs,” according to the official. President Trump is considering restarting military operations.
