According to the World Health Organization, Congo (DRC) confirmed 2,423 cumulative Ebola cases as of July 21, with 967 deaths and 469 recoveries. The outbreak has spread across five provinces, with Ituri Province remaining the epicenter.

While some areas show signs of stabilization, overall transmission continues to outpace containment efforts. WHO is adjusting response strategies based on local transmission patterns, with focus on case management, safe funeral practices, and referral capacity in hotspot areas.
