WSC Sports Cuts 10% of Workforce, About 70 Employees, on July 21

According to Calcalist, Israeli AI sports startup WSC Sports is laying off about 70 employees, or roughly 10% of its workforce, beginning today (July 21). The company, which employs around 680 people globally, is restructuring in response to macroeconomic conditions. Employee hearings started on July 21 in line with Israeli labor law. Founded in 2011, WSC Sports has raised approximately US$150 million, including a US$100 million Series D round in 2022 led by ION Crossover Partners.
