According to Jin10, on June 30, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen urged gasoline retailers to lower fuel prices ahead of the nation's 250th founding anniversary celebrations, warning that the Trump administration is closely monitoring the matter.

"I call on all gas retailers—whether operating under major oil company banners, as independents, or as international convenience store chains—to demonstrate good corporate citizenship," Yellen said, adding that the administration is watching the situation closely during this "significant milestone."
