Zcash announced on May 16 that it is introducing provably secret on-chain voting for Network Upgrade 7 (NU7), allowing shielded ZEC holders to participate in governance decisions through the Zodl Wallet. Voting is scheduled to begin in June. The underlying voting protocol will also be opened for integration with other wallets, potentially expanding participation across the Zcash ecosystem.
