According to The Block, on Monday, Zerohash Europe secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Dutch central bank (DNB), making it the first crypto infrastructure provider to hold both a MiCAR license and full EMI status. The dual licenses enable Zerohash to legally handle stablecoin and crypto-asset services, as well as traditional electronic money flows across the European Economic Area, allowing the firm to serve banks, brokerages, fintechs, and payment providers in the region. Zerohash obtained its initial MiCAR license in October 2025; the European Banking Authority subsequently clarified in February that stablecoin-related activities require EMI licensing to better integrate stablecoins into the traditional financial system.
