OpenMind announces a partnership with Circle to jointly build a payment infrastructure for embodied AI.

On December 2, news came that OpenMind and Circle announced a strategic partnership to jointly create the first payment infrastructure for autonomous, real-world embodied AI transactions. By integrating OpenMind's Bots and agent operating system with the USDC stablecoin issued by Circle and the x402 payment protocol, both parties aim to enable Bots and AI agents to make direct payments for energy, services, and data in the physical world. Bots, which are gradually becoming independent economic entities, will participate in three core markets:

1. Task Market: Bots perform tasks such as delivery and inspection to earn rewards.
2. Information Market: Local sensing data and environmental state summaries can be sold to agents responsible for decision-making and planning.
3. Resource Market: Bots pay for resources such as charging, storage, and tool usage, which are often tied to specific geographical locations. In order to operate smoothly across different vendors, different owners, and different networks, these agents require an interactive, natively adapted value transfer method for machines. USDC provides a unit of account and a value carrier, x402 provides the underlying payment channel, while OpenMind's embodied intelligent system is responsible for deciding when, where, and how to pay. OpenMind and Circle view this combination as a foundational primitive for the future economy of robotic agents, and plan to showcase more real-world deployment cases and integration progress in the coming months, such as robot automatic charging and offline consumption settlement, continuously exploring new possibilities in the realms of embodied AI, payment infrastructure, and autonomous services.
