Running a Dusk Network node is not just about simple server hosting. There is a significant hardcore computational threshold behind it, especially for node operators who want to become block producers.

This chain uses a "blind bidding" mechanism to resist centralization risks and DDoS attacks—each time a node competes for block production, it must generate a complex zero-knowledge proof locally and submit a bid without revealing its identity or staked amount. It sounds cool, but executing it is another story. This process demands extremely high hardware computational capabilities; even slight network latency fluctuations can cause a node to fall behind.

If the node environment cannot handle the stability of intensive ZKP computations, or if it doesn't understand the special memory management requirements of the Piecrust virtual machine, it's basically impossible to stand firm in the fiercely competitive blind bidding ranking. There is no "easy money" in the Dusk ecosystem—only through continuous, high-intensity privacy computations can nodes contribute to security and operate normally. Simply put, this is a dual test of technical depth and hardware investment.

Really, Dusk's system has a very high barrier to entry; not everyone can afford to play it.

ngl, dusk's blind bidding sounds like sous vide precision for blockchain - one degree off and your whole batch is ruined. no "set it and forget it" energy here, just pure computational rigor.

It seems that Dusk is not meant for retail investors; it's a project that truly requires strong technical capabilities. --- ZKP computations are so hardware-intensive; how expensive must the servers be to ensure stability? The profit margins seem quite tight. --- No worries, I'm just here to observe. I think I'll pass on this kind of technically deep stuff haha. --- This is what true PoW spirit looks like, not those projects that just casually exploit. --- So essentially, it's still a hardware race—who has the stronger setup gets the rewards. --- The blind benchmark mechanism sounds good, but if this continues, small and medium nodes will eventually be eliminated. --- I just want to know how long the return on investment cycle is; it feels quite risky.

Damn, this is why Dusk nodes are so hard to please. Stacking hardware randomly doesn't work; you need to truly understand the ZKP technology. --- Dreams of passive income shattered, you still need a tough technical stack. --- The blind validation mechanism sounds very private, but in reality, it's just tormenting your server. --- So most Dusk node operators are tech enthusiasts; ordinary people simply can't play. --- This double challenge would have caused someone to give up long ago, but those who still persist are true believers. --- Network latency fluctuates and you fall behind? Then you have to keep an eye on the machine all the time, it's too exhausting. --- No wonder the Dusk ecosystem is relatively niche; with such high barriers, who dares to touch it? --- The stability of ZKP computations is really the main focus; many small nodes probably fail here. --- If you haven't mastered Piecrust virtual machine, don't expect to make money; that's just how the industry is. --- It feels like Dusk is genuinely working on privacy computing, unlike some chains that just talk the talk.

This is the real threshold; not everyone can play this game.
