What is the biggest fear in DeFi investment? Assets evaporate overnight. Smart contract vulnerabilities, hacker attacks, platform跑路——these are common stories in the industry and are also the reasons many people stay away from DeFi.

Lista DAO has been thinking from the very beginning about how to keep these risks out. The security system they built is essentially multiple layers of defense, each more strict than the last.

Let's start with the first layer. All contract code is open source, so you can review it if you want. Behind the scenes, experienced blockchain engineers and cryptography experts have refined it repeatedly. Moreover, the team has adopted "formal verification"—a mathematical tool that essentially uses rigorous logical proofs to ensure the code is free of vulnerabilities. Every upgrade and iteration must pass the scrutiny of top global auditing firms before going live. With these layers of checks, the chances of vulnerabilities slipping in are minimal.

Now, the second layer. Users' assets are not stored on the platform but directly in their own wallet addresses. The platform cannot access or move these assets, naturally preventing the risk of assets being stolen from centralized platforms. Decentralized custody sounds advanced, but it simply means returning control to the users—that's the true essence of DeFi.

Security is not just a technical issue; it's also a trust issue. Clarifying these two layers of defense is essential to confidently operate within DeFi.

Open-source auditing is indeed reliable, much better than those closed-source black boxes.

Well said. Self-protection still depends on your own wallet; no matter how persuasive the platform's words are, it's useless.

Formal verification sounds impressive, but basically it just means using mathematics to lock down the code, which I agree with. However, what really reassures me is having my assets in my own wallet. No matter how powerful the platform is, if they can't get my coins, I dare to go all in.

Formal verification sounds impressive, but issues can still arise in real environments. I've seen this happen too many times.

Formal verification sounds impressive, but in reality, the true way to protect assets is through self-custody wallets. Otherwise, even the most secure code can't prevent a platform from trying to run away.

Formal verification sounds impressive, but is it really that reliable, or is it just another round of marketing hype?

Formal verification is indeed powerful, but to be honest, whether an auditing organization is reliable or not still depends on the people.

Formal verification sounds impressive, but can it really prevent vulnerabilities... or does it depend on the reliability of the auditing agency?

Sounds good, but the problem is that users can also make mistakes. If they accidentally lose their private key or fall for phishing, even the safest contract can't save them.
