In the crypto market, rules are always more effective than luck. To survive longer, it's far better than chasing overnight riches.
Recently, many people have asked: if I only have 1000U or 2000U, how can I establish a foothold in the crypto world? Actually, I’ve been down this path too, and today I want to share some real experiences.
**The Dilemma of Small Funds**
The biggest problem faced by small funds is not a lack of opportunities, but an unbalanced mindset. Holding just a few thousand dollars and hoping to double it, expecting to become a big player next week. This mindset often leads to blindly following trends, playing high-leverage contracts, and ultimately losing everything. I’ve seen too many cases where hard-earned principal disappears after just one contract. The crypto market is not short of opportunities; what’s missing is patience. Small funds need not secret tricks for quick riches, but the ability to withstand low volatility and achieve steady growth.
**Two Practical Strategies**
For small funds starting out, I’ve summarized two different paths.
One is to focus on top-tier coins and invest steadily. If you don’t want to stare at the charts all day and get annoyed, you can use a dollar-cost averaging strategy to build a foundation. Allocate most of your funds to mainstream coins like BTC and ETH, which have good liquidity and strong consensus. Although the returns may not be as exciting, they can provide relatively stable gains during bull markets. Market analysis generally remains optimistic about Bitcoin’s long-term prospects, which means using time to gain space is the most suitable approach for beginners.
The second is to precisely target opportunities. This requires more market observation and timing skills, but the risks and rewards are more direct.
