I heard that recently a major social media platform was exposed to a security vulnerability—about 17.5 million users' information was leaked, including usernames, emails, phone numbers, and even specific addresses. This data is already circulating on the dark web and is being used for phishing scams and account hijacking. The root cause might be an API vulnerability in 2024, and now affected users are receiving frantic password reset reminder emails.

The official statement has not been released yet. But you should know, this kind of incident is especially dangerous for crypto users—hackers who get your email and phone number can attempt to take over exchange accounts and wallets, potentially transferring assets away in minutes. So it's time to act: quickly enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on all important accounts, change your passwords, especially for accounts holding crypto assets. This is no small matter.

This is it, my email has been compromised in this wave, it's really unbelievable. But to be fair, those without 2FA deserve to be hacked, no wonder others. 17.5 million people... how crazy is that? The dark web must be about to blow up. I just want to know when the official will come out and apologize. Their current silence is really fucking disgusting. Enable 2FA, use cold wallets, everything else is just虚假的. Another API vulnerability, 2024 is shaping up to be this bad, what can we trust anymore? Hurry up and change your passwords, everyone, or you'll really get cut like a leek.

Once again, Bengbu is stuck. The information of 17.5 million people has been leaked and is still being slowly notified? The dark web is already selling it, alright. Hurry up and enable 2FA, don’t wait for hackers to help you get a free ride on your exchange account. Fortunately, I keep my wallet address and exchange account completely separate. I recommend everyone do the same. The official statement is probably that same old "deeply sorry" routine, it's getting boring. This is the fate of centralized platforms. Isn't it better to use self-custody wallets? I've already changed my password ten times, so annoying, and I have to check each account one by one. Who still dares to put large assets on platforms? This painful lesson.

Another mess like this, 17.5 million people's information exposed. I knew all platforms are unreliable. Changing passwords every day is really annoying, but it's still worth it compared to getting your account hacked by trolls. 2FA must be enabled. Think twice before connecting your wallet. Everyone, don't be lazy. This time, the official probably will shift the blame again. Anyway, we Web3 folks have to protect ourselves. Those guys on the dark web are really bored. Data brokers offering one-stop services, huh?

Once again, we've been hacked... This time, 17.5 million records are on the dark web. We crypto folks need to be more careful. Quickly check if your account has been compromised. I’ve already changed all my exchange passwords and enabled 2FA. I should have used a hardware wallet to isolate these things from the start. I'm really speechless with these platforms. API vulnerabilities have gone unnoticed for so long? It seems I need to consider switching to a decentralized solution. This is getting too exhausting.

Damn, here we go again. It's always the same routine. I should have set up 2FA long ago, I keep saying.
