Traders who can consistently profit in the cryptocurrency market can generally be divided into the following categories:

**Type 1**: Highly patient waiters. Observe most of the year, execute only 2-3 major trades annually. When real opportunities arise, they react quickly, act precisely, and exit profitably in a timely manner.

**Type 2**: Long-term allocators. Hold positions for 3-5 years, treat holdings as long-term asset allocation, achieving "holding coins with a calm mind," unaffected by short-term fluctuations.

**Type 3**: Single-coin experts. Deeply engage with a specific asset, use long-term swing trading, ultimately turn the holding cost into a negative number, and earn compound interest through time and strategy.

**Type 4**: Hotspot hunters. Track leading projects and hot opportunities, focus on short-term swings, maintain strict operational discipline and quick response ability, willing to spend a lot of time daily reviewing and monitoring.

**Type 5**: Traders with their own system. Develop their own trading models, regardless of market changes, insist on only trading assets they understand, and execute according to a predetermined pattern.

**Type 6**: Strict profit and loss executors. Take profits at 10%, cut losses at 5%. Do not be greedy for the last point; their philosophy of "eating the body, not the tail" helps them survive long-term.

After finding a method that suits you, technical analysis is only one-tenth of success. When you let go of the mindset of "wanting to move every day, wanting to surge every day, wanting to curse every day," and learn to stabilize your mindset, control emotions, and delay gratification, consistent and stable profits will not be far away.

Ah, I am just the type that mostly watches without action, waiting for that flying opportunity to jump in... Unfortunately, I can never wait long enough.

To be honest, the first and second types are the ones that truly last long; most of the others are just self-deception.

Speaking of these six types of people, I've seen them all, but the ones who truly survive are the ones with the right mindset. The first type, the waiters, are the most exceptional—they make moves two or three times a year, and the rest of the time they just watch the show. That takes a lot of self-discipline... I used to be doomed by the habit of wanting to act every day, but now I've had a bit of an epiphany.

I think the first and second types are actually the same person, both restraining themselves from acting. To put it nicely, in reality most people are still staring at the charts every day until their eyes hurt, and FOMO at every price increase, risking their lives. The sixth type is the most realistic; that's how I live. This article is missing one type of person—the ones who go bankrupt from losses, and actually, that's the largest group.
