Stellar is redefining solar energy financing through tokenization of Turbo Energy

Stellar blockchain network and Nasdaq-listed Turbo Energy are pioneering a new way to finance solar energy projects. This collaboration, together with Taurus and the Stellar Development Foundation, is facilitating access to clean energy through a hybrid solar-battery infrastructure tokenization model.

This initiative exemplifies the practical application of decentralized finance technology in the real-world energy market, reducing investment barriers for enterprises. The tokenized debt model is issued on the Taurus platform for Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), with data stored on the Stellar blockchain. Thus, small and medium investors can directly purchase shares in solar installations.

Growing Market of Renewable Energy Financing

Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) model is expanding worldwide. In 2024, the sector’s value reached $74.4 billion, and is expected to hit $144.8 billion by 2030—doubling in size. These high figures reflect the demand for ecological and cost-effective energy solutions, indicating a shift of enterprises toward service-based models.

Turbo Energy’s in-depth pilot project is being implemented at a supermarket in Spain. Company executive Mariano Soria explained that this is “a clear application of blockchain in energy finance.” The tokenization model opens new revenue streams and makes it easier for more investors to participate in sustainable energy projects.

Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, emphasized, “The future of climate finance must be as efficient as the clean energy it funds.” This direction demonstrates Stellar’s growing role in bridging traditional finance with real-world applications.

Earlier this year, Visa integrated Stellar into its stablecoin settlement platform, providing new growth opportunities. In the UK, Union Jack Oil is using blockchain to track natural gas extracted from abandoned wells and convert it into electricity. These examples illustrate how decentralized technologies are transforming the sustainable energy sector from various angles around the world.

Turbo Energy, after successfully launching hybrid energy projects in Chile in recent years, is now expanding its tokenization model via Stellar. This strategy combines the transparency, decentralization, and security of blockchain with traditional finance, adapting renewable energy investments to the digital age.

Market analysts are identifying key upward movements in XLM’s technical chart. If the price maintains solid support between $0.24 and $0.26, a multi-stage recovery is likely.
