Solana Privacy App SHDW Crashes: User Funds Locked, Customer Service Unreachable
【ChainNews】Another issue has arisen in the Solana ecosystem. Recently, this app called SHDW has gained popularity, highlighting privacy transactions as its selling point, claiming to achieve front-running prevention through the Jupiter aggregator. Sounds good, right? But the reality—users deposited money and immediately started regretting it.
The problem is straightforward: the withdrawal button is completely unusable. The “Unblock” feature is essentially a placeholder, initial deposits are lost, and customer service is unreachable. Many people are complaining on social media, making the scene a bit awkward.
SHDW was launched during the Solana Privacy Hackathon and appears to be a serious project—planning features like X402 standard transactions, prediction markets, data filtering, and more. But now? It has only launched Swap and wallet browser extensions, and both are problematic. The originally scheduled token issuance at UTC 20:00 is now in doubt.
Honestly, the security and privacy protection levels of this app cannot be verified at all, and the risks are quite high. Those interested in exploring innovative applications in the Solana ecosystem should observe for a while before moving their funds.
