Interesting changes have emerged in institutional fund flows in 2025. Bitcoin's appeal is waning—outflows have plummeted by 35% year-over-year, totaling approximately $26.9 billion. Does this mean the altcoin season is coming? But the reality is far more complex.

Funds are indeed rotating, just not in the way you might think. The major flow is heading into Ethereum and Solana, which are considered the next steps by institutions. Calling them altcoins is a bit of a stretch—especially Ethereum, given its significant position in the crypto world. Solana's performance over the past two years has also proven its value. They belong to a different tier.

What about the actual altcoins? Things are not going well. The entire altcoin market has seen inflows shrink by about 30%.

So don’t be fooled by appearances. Institutions haven't shifted to altcoins; they are optimizing their investment portfolios. They are selecting projects with ample liquidity, reliable technology, and genuine scalability. This is completely different from the traditional "altcoin hype."

Ha, it's that same phrase "institutions are optimizing" again, sounding like they're just finding reasons for their holdings. SOL has indeed been fierce this wave.

It's just institutions manipulating the market. BTC inflows drop by 35% and it's still being labeled as "rotation"—laughable. SOL and ETH are gaining, while small-cap coins can't even get a sip of the soup—that's the reality.

Institutions are institutions; no matter how they rotate, they can't escape the grasp of those top projects... Truly small coins are still destined to be harvested like chives.

Institutions are institutions; they never play fancy tricks. Be clear, the real shitcoin is still an ignored fate.

Huh? So BTC outflows are just institutions picking the fat and leaving the thin, the real bankruptcies are in small-cap coins. Institutions are this annoying, they only play in mainstream markets, and all the real opportunities are taken by them. SOL is indeed stable this time, much more reliable than those concept coins. Wait, liquidity is sufficient and technology is reliable? Isn't that just talking about top-tier coins? Altcoins will never get a chance.

Haha, it's the same old story. Institutions love to fool people like this. To be honest, they're just harvesting retail investors.

Hmm... it's the same story again. Are institutions just optimizing? To put it nicely, it's called optimization; frankly, they got caught holding the bottom of Bitcoin and are now moving into ETH and SOL.
