In most Layer 2 networks, the gas mechanism is not controlled by the project team. You cannot directly influence these key elements: the design of gas tokens, the operation logic of the fee market, and the prioritization of transaction execution.

Although solutions like relayers and paymasters offer some relief, ultimately they are just workarounds within someone else's rule framework. To truly control the user experience, you cannot avoid the technical limitations of the underlying L2 itself.

Basically, it's just being throttled by L2. I've known for a long time that the relayer setup is a temporary fix rather than a fundamental solution.

Oh no, now I understand. I should have figured it out earlier.

In simple terms, project teams are also sidelined on L2, and the relayer and paymaster setup is just patchwork... To truly gain control, you need to build your own L3 or simply create a private chain.

To put it simply, the entire L2 setup is inherently constrained. Relayers and paymasters may sound advanced, but they are essentially just patchwork solutions that can't fundamentally change anything.
