Iranian Mission to the United Nations: The so-called claim that Iran is blockading the Strait of Hormuz is baseless

BlockBeats News, March 6 — According to CCTV News, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations posted on social media on the 5th that the so-called claim that Iran is blocking the Strait of Hormuz is baseless and utterly absurd. Iran has always adhered to international law and maintained freedom of navigation.

The mission stated: “In fact, the real threat to maritime security is the United States. Just yesterday, near Iran’s coast about 2,000 miles away, the Iranian frigate ‘Dena,’ carrying 130 sailors and on a naval visit to India, was unjustly sunk by a U.S. submarine in international waters, resulting in the deaths of over 100 sailors. This reckless attack violated international law and the fundamental principles of freedom of navigation.”
