Perplexity launches a cloud-based AI intelligent agent service called Personal Computer, offering 24/7 dedicated assistance based on Mac mini.

Gate News reports that on March 12, Perplexity announced the launch of its cloud-based AI assistant service, Personal Computer. Built on a continuously running Apple Mac mini, it deeply integrates users’ local files, applications, and cloud AI to provide 24/7 personalized intelligent support. The service uses a similar operation scheme to OpenClaw, creating a “local + cloud” collaborative working model. Regarding security, the system requires all sensitive operation commands to be re-authorized by the user, all AI operation records are stored by the system, and a one-click shutdown switch is provided to handle emergencies.
