According to Citigroup, this week the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield climbed to 5.16%, marking its highest level since 2007, as bond traders target the 5.5% level amid concerns about persistent inflation. Citi macro strategist Jim McCormick noted the last time the yield touched 5.5% was 22 years ago.
