Carl Erik Rinsch, director of '47 Ronin,' was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to repay $11 million after misappropriating Netflix production funds for stock options and cryptocurrency speculation. According to prosecutors, Rinsch lost millions in high-risk stock trading before using remaining funds to trade Dogecoin, generating profits of approximately $27 million. He subsequently used the proceeds to purchase luxury goods including Rolls-Royce vehicles and high-end watches. A jury previously convicted him of wire fraud and money laundering.
