According to a report released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Labor Economics Society and Tencent Research Institute on June 3, AI job positions offer salary premiums of 38%-79% higher than non-AI roles, with the gap showing a tendency to widen.

The report identified five key trends: AI skill demand shifting from pure development to practical application; composite talent proficient in both traditional AI and large language models most valued; high-level positions experiencing more pronounced AI impact than junior roles; AI roles exhibiting clear elite-priority characteristics with higher education and experience thresholds; and labor market core tension evolving from job availability to job tier distribution.
