AI Writing Startup Marker Completes $13M Seed Round Led by Index Ventures

According to PANews, Marker, a London-based AI writing startup founded by former DeepMind creative leads, completed a $13 million seed round today (July 10). Index Ventures led the round with participation from Local Globe, while angel investors included Steve Newman (Writely co-founder), Cal Henderson (Slack co-founder), and Thomas Wolf (Hugging Face). Early testers have used Marker's platform to write blog posts, Substack newsletters, business documents, memos, and fiction.
