According to South Korea's Ministry of Science and Technology and ICT (MSIT), AMD CEO Lisa Su signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on AI semiconductor ecosystem cooperation on July 23 (local U.S. time) during the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event in San Francisco.

AMD will establish an AI Research Excellence Center in South Korea to support technology collaboration, AI semiconductor software development, and joint research among domestic companies, universities, and research institutions. The center will leverage AMD's AI computing resources and software capabilities.
