According to The Information on July 15, ASML plans to raise prices on deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) semiconductor manufacturing equipment by at least 10%, but TSMC is resisting the increase.

ASML has informed Chinese chipmakers and other customers of the planned price hike in recent weeks. While some Chinese manufacturers have agreed to accept higher DUV prices, TSMC opposes raising both DUV and EUV equipment prices simultaneously. Current DUV equipment is priced at approximately $90 million, while the latest-generation EUV systems can cost up to $400 million.
