According to CEO Kelly Ortberg at Farnborough Airshow, Boeing will not launch its next-generation single-aisle aircraft until the late 2030s, citing financial constraints and current customer demand for existing models. Ortberg stated, "The market is not quite ready for this aircraft. Customers have told us we should focus on current products." The company is prioritizing completion of 737 MAX and 777X certification, along with increasing 737 monthly production capacity from 42 to 52 aircraft, while competitor Airbus plans to introduce its next-generation A320 in the early 2030s.
