Brent Crude Tops $95 on 11th Consecutive Night of US Strikes on Iran, Up 4%

According to CNBC, Brent crude futures topped $95 per barrel this morning (July 22) following an 11th consecutive night of U.S. strikes on Iran. Both the international benchmark and U.S. oil prices are nearly 4% higher in early trading.

Speaking to reporters in the Philippines today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. "would love to reach a diplomatic settlement" with Iran, but noted that Tehran does not appear "serious" about a deal. The jump in oil prices is weighing on stock futures, with all three major indexes lower in pre-market trading.
