Michael Burry posted an AI-generated image late Wednesday titled "Heptalogy of Data Center Fantasy," depicting Alphabet, Amazon, Meta Platforms, Oracle, Microsoft, Caterpillar and Nvidia as books in a fictional series, signaling skepticism toward the AI data center boom. The same day, U.S. President Donald Trump praised data centers as "big, strong, bold money machines" capable of generating jobs and tax revenue. Trump noted that states including Texas, Florida, Arizona and Alabama could capture projects from New York, which signed an executive order Tuesday pausing large data center projects consuming 50 megawatts or more of power.
