China and EU Sign New Joint Research Funding Agreement for 2025-2027

China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the European Commission recently signed a new round of joint research funding agreement. Under the accord, the two parties will jointly support research collaboration between Chinese and European universities, research institutions, and enterprises during 2025-2027, focusing on agriculture, food, and biological solutions (FAB) and climate change and biodiversity (CCB). China will implement the joint funding mechanism through the "Government-to-Government International Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation Major Project" under its National Key R&D Program, while the EU will do so through Horizon Europe.
