China Emphasizes Two-State Solution as Only Viable Path to Palestinian Issue on May 8

GateNews

According to Chinese UN envoy Teng Fei, on May 8, the two-state solution is the only viable path to resolving the Palestinian issue. Speaking at an open debate on the situation in the West Bank at the UN Security Council, Teng stressed that the situation in the West Bank is rapidly deteriorating, with violence and illegal activities becoming increasingly rampant. He noted that despite decades of international efforts, including UN resolutions and an International Court of Justice advisory opinion on occupation, the core reason the situation remains unresolved is the failure to implement these decisions. Teng called on the international community to take concrete action to stabilize the West Bank and achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.
