Iran's Foreign Minister Visits Beijing on May 8; China Reaffirms Support for Middle East Peace Talks

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on May 8, Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi visited Beijing amid escalating regional tensions. Lin stated that the Gulf and Middle East region is at a critical juncture between conflict and peace, and China maintains communication with all parties, including Iran, aimed at de-escalation and promoting dialogue.

China will continue supporting regional states in building "four shared homes" and provide continued assistance in launching peace talks to restore stability in the Middle East, Lin said.
