China PE Operating Load Rises to 75.06% as Maintenance Recovers; July Prices Expected to Decline

According to Jin10 Futures, as of June 25, 2026, China's polyethylene (PE) operating load rose to 75.06% week-on-week, up 0.98 percentage points. Recent restarts of previously idled units at Sichuan Petrochemical and独山子 Petrochemical drove the increase, while only limited new maintenance was scheduled at Lanzhou Chemical's Yulin facilities. Citing Zhuochuang Information, July is expected to see minimal new maintenance, with estimated maintenance losses of 437,200 tonnes, down 138,000 tonnes from June. Combined with weak seasonal demand and rising inventory levels, PE prices are likely to face further downward pressure in July.
