China's Data Development Institute Calls for Greater Capital Market Support for Commercial Data Sector

GateNews

According to the State Data Development Research Institute, a subsidiary of China's State Data Bureau, the institute recently released a report highlighting challenges in the commercial data service sector. The report identifies shortcomings in capitalization levels, global service capabilities, and high-end market competitiveness, calling for increased capital market support.

The institute proposed three recommendations: strengthening government guidance and public data supply mechanisms; promoting industry self-improvement and moving away from low-end homogeneous competition; and increasing capital market support through improved enterprise valuation mechanisms and expanded financing channels to enable research innovation, scale expansion, and overseas expansion of quality enterprises.
