China's Lithium Spodumene Imports Fall 9.5% in April to 758,000 Tonnes

According to Chinese Customs, lithium spodumene imports totaled 758,000 tonnes in April 2026, declining 9.5% month-on-month. Imports from Australia rose to 355,000 tonnes, up 38.9% from March and 19.2% year-over-year. Shipments from South Africa dropped 33.2% to 113,000 tonnes, while Brazilian imports surged 457% to 96,000 tonnes, driven by prior Sigma lithium shipments arriving at port.
