On July 15, China's Taiwan Affairs Office issued an official statement responding to a European Parliament report on East Asian geopolitics. Spokesperson Zhu Fenglan stated that there is only one China and Taiwan is part of China, representing the true status quo of the Taiwan Strait. The office condemned the European Parliament report as crude interference in China's internal affairs and urged the parliament to immediately correct its erroneous statements and remarks on Taiwan-related issues.
