Chinese Commerce Minister Meets Malaysian Counterpart to Deepen Trade Cooperation

According to Jin10 on May 23, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Azhari on May 21 in Suzhou during the APEC Trade Ministers' Meeting. Both sides discussed deepening bilateral economic and trade relations.

Wang stated China is willing to implement the China-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Five-Year Plan (2024-2028) and welcomed Malaysia's participation in events including the China International Import Expo. Azhari expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in traditional sectors like trade and investment, while exploring emerging areas such as advanced manufacturing.
