Chinese Commodity Futures Open Mixed, Silver and Palladium Down Over 3% in Early Trading

On July 17, Chinese commodity futures opened with sharp declines in early trading. Shanghai silver and palladium fell over 3%, platinum and soda ash dropped more than 2%, while cotton and glass declined over 1%. Lithium carbonate rose over 2%, with Shanghai lead and liquefied petroleum gas gaining over 1%, and Shanghai aluminum and zinc posting modest gains.
