CME Silver and WTI Crude Oil Trading Volume and Open Interest Both Decline on May 14

According to Jin10, based on CME data released on May 14, trading activity in silver and WTI crude oil cooled simultaneously. Silver saw 62,577 contracts traded and 104,615 open interest positions, declining 4,408 contracts and 2,270 positions respectively from the previous trading day. WTI crude oil recorded 650,088 contracts traded and 2,056,554 open interest positions, down 96,222 contracts and 24,718 positions respectively. Overall, both silver and WTI crude oil experienced simultaneous declines in both trading volume and open interest participation.
