BTC-4.24%
In the latest crypto market decline, Bitcoin crashed from above $77,000 to $67,000 as the total crypto market cap fell from $2.50 trillion to $2.32 trillion, a 7% decline, with more than $250 billion wiped from Bitcoin's market cap in less than a week. The move was triggered in part by major institutions like Strategy announcing the sale of 32 BTC for the first time since 2022. Derivatives markets liquidated over $700 million in long positions in the past 24 hours, with $283 million wiped out in a single hour. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index dropped to 11, indicating extreme anxiety levels.
