DeepSeek V4 Official Release Delayed to Mid-August, May Face Competition From GPT-6 and Claude 5.1

According to Beating, DeepSeek V4's official release (V4 GA) is expected to be delayed to mid-August, with launch scheduled between August 10-20. The company is currently conducting closed testing via Harness and plans to select testers from survey respondents. The official V4 release will occur approximately 1-2 weeks after the closed testing phase concludes.

If accurate, DeepSeek V4 may face intensified competition upon launch. GPT-6, Claude 5.1, and GLM-5.5 could already be in the market by then.
