Ethereum OG Whale Sells $188M Worth of ETH and WBTC Before Market Crash, Then Buys Back at Lower Prices

According to on-chain monitoring cited by blockchain analysts, an early Ethereum holder sold approximately $188 million in ETH, wrapped staked ETH and wrapped Bitcoin before a recent market crash, then began repurchasing major crypto assets at lower prices. The whale sold 60,000 ETH worth about $117.25 million and 9,442 wstETH worth roughly $24 million near an average price of $2,040, along with WBTC exposure. After the downturn, the wallet bought 611 WBTC worth approximately $38.68 million at an average price of $63,280 and purchased 35,723 ETH for $55.8 million at an average price of $1,563, achieving a buyback discount of roughly $477 per ETH compared to the earlier selling price.
