EU Naval Operation Issues Red Sea Warning for Ships Linked to Israel, US, Saudi Arabia

According to Bloomberg, the EU's naval operation EUNAVFOR ASPIDES has raised the threat level in the Red Sea from low to medium. The operation advised commercial vessels with ties to Israel, the United States, or Saudi Arabia to avoid transiting the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden until the threat level decreases. Additionally, ships that recently called at Saudi ports or engaged in cargo operations there have been instructed to minimize their electronic footprint by reducing automated identification system (AIS) signal transmissions and limiting publicly available digital information that could aid targeting.
