GateNews

According to the EU Council, on May 22, the EU suspended import tariffs on urea, ammonia, and other key nitrogen fertilizers for one year to ease production cost pressures on its agriculture and fertilizer sectors caused by Middle East conflict disruptions. The measure takes effect the day after publication in the EU Official Journal. The tariff suspension is expected to save approximately €60 million in tariff expenses.

The exemption does not apply to fertilizer products imported from Russia and Belarus.
