EU Weighs Three Options to Resolve Deadlock on Russia LNG Sanctions

According to Jin10, on July 20, the EU discussed at least three options to resolve the deadlock in its 21st sanctions package against Russia. Greece has blocked measures restricting European companies from transporting Russian liquefied natural gas to third countries. The proposed options include a 24-month transition period before restrictions take effect, complete removal of the LNG limitation, or abandonment of the entire sanctions package.
