According to Reuters, on June 4, Jeffrey Schmid, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, stated the Federal Reserve faces a choice between maintaining patience and keeping rates steady or raising rates further to combat inflation that has remained above the 2% target for over five years.
